Model 505 는 최대 8개의 독립적인 채널 구성 및 동작시 Multi-mode, 16개의 다른 에지 구성으로 펄스를 출력 가능합니다.

각 채널에 대한 Rate, delay, width등 설정 가능하며 고분해능, 시간제어, 낮은 지터 특성을 가지고 있습니다. 외부/내부 트리거 제어로 장비 제어를 위한 소프트웨어 등이 지원됩니다.

출력은 5ns까지 서로 동기화 시킬 수 있습니다. 채널의 시간은 다른 채널의 기준이 되거나 시간 지연을 영(zero)(T0)까지 설정 가능합니다. 엣지(edge)는 10ns 스텝으로 조정 가능합니다. 채널은 Gated, enabled, disabled 로 선택이 가능합니다. 각 채널은 독립적인 출력 레벨과 극성을 가집니다.

Model 505는 사용자의 파라미터 설정을 저장하여 나중에 불러 올 수 있습니다.

Model 505는 2, 4, 8 채널에 대하여 내부 혹은 외부 트리거에 동기화시켜 지연/펄스폭 출력을 가능합니다. 분해능은 10ns

Model 505 에 대한 채널은 각각 gated, enabled, disabled, 극성 선택 등이 가능하며 독립적인 레벨설정이 가능합니다. 또한 동기화된 채널에 기준을 선택 가능합니다.

예를 들어, 어떤 채널은 외부 트리거(T0), 내부 트리거(T0), 혹은 다른 채널의 리딩엣지(leading edge)에 동기화 될 수 있습니다. 각 철은 독립적으로 사용 가능하며 gated, enabled, burst, single shot, normal, duty cycle 모드로 운영 가능합니다.

Model 505는 모든 채널에 공통 트리거 모드를 지원합니다. 연속(continuous) 모드는 펄스주기를 500 ps, 10ns 분해능을 지원합니다. 싱글 샷(single shot) 모드는 버튼을 누를 때 마다 혹은 외부 트리거가 있을 때 마다 단펄스를 발생 시킵니다. 버스트(burst) 모드는 1~1,000,000개 까지 버스트 펄스를 생성합니다.

듀티사이클(duty cycle) 모드는 M pulse On/N pulse Off (N은 사용자 지정)가 가능합니다.

최대 출력 레벨은 20V 까지 이며, RS232C와 GPIB를 지원합니다.
